9th Annual Run for Recovery

When: July 26, 2008. 5K Race begins at 8:00 a.m. Fun Walk begins at 8:15 a.m.

Where: Keeneland Race Course, Lexington, Kentucky

Fee: $18 pre-registration or $20 day of the race

Why: the race was started by Leroy S., one of our graduates, as a way to give back to the program and the community

Prizes: Cash prizes and trophies for all ages

How to Register: Use the online form to register and pay using a credit card or PayPal. You may also print out the form and mail to address listed or fax to 859-252-1935, or you can send an E-mail with the information presented. You can make your payment by sending in your money with your registration form, paying the fee at race day. Even if you don't plan on running please consider making a donation. There will be many serious runners in the event - several winners of the Bluegrass 10,000 have participated as well as many of Lexington and Central Kentucky's running clubs. The Bluegrass Runners Club is a supporter. Many participants are local runners or walkers, who just enjoy a leisurely run or the 1 mile Fun Walk. Many people bring their children and pets. Come on out - support a good cause, see some serious running or just have a leisurely jog or walk. We emphasize family participation - refreshments are included. Please remember this event also allows many men who wouldn't have the opportunity to come to the Shepherds House, the chance to come, and get sober with your help and donations.
